| Our Mission | |
| Our goal at Marlis Bulldogs is to breed quality, healthy bulldogs and to maintain the excellence of the breed for years to come. Each puppy is hand raised in a home environment. Owning a bulldog is probably the most rewarding experience and honor that a person could have. Should you be chosen to give one of our bulldogs a home, you will truly have the greatest possible friend a person could ask for. | |
| About Lisa | |
| I began my breeding experience in 1984 with Rottweilers, bull terriers
and pitbulls. However, it was not until I began breeding bulldogs in 2000
that I realized what a true miracle it is. Changing from being a breeder
of self sufficient breeds, such as Rottweilers, to breeding bulldogs that
are totally dependant on your help, is a very rewarding experience.
I purchased my first bulldog in 1999. Her name was Khalua Michelle. (I always give my dogs a middle name). Having her not only taught me how wonderful the breed is, but also taught me to be thankful when you have a real couch potato. Breeding and raising bulldogs is very rewarding, but it is also a continuing education process. Just when you think that you have a fool proof system, you will have an experience that will teach you something new. |

| About Margie | |
| I purchased my first Bulldog in 1983 from a woman in Pittsburgh,
PA. The dog, which I named Samantha, was a beautiful fawn & white color.
I did breed "Sam" as well. Her first litter was in the Spring
of 1984, and I have been breeding English Bulldogs ever since. I don't know
what this says about me, but I believe that to be in the breeding business
for 20 years, is a good sign.
There are many rewards to breeding English Bulldogs. When you place a puppy in a home & the owners bring their puppy back for a visit, and you realize the puppy remembers you, having pictures sent of their growth, getting calls asking questions, and having people come back to purchase another puppy a year, two years, or even 9 years later. This all makes me feel very good about what I do. A person who breeds English Bulldogs two, ten, twenty years always learns something new. You never know it all.
